Getting Jealous

"She's talking to her?!" Tessa fumed as he glared at her boyfriend Bryan, who currently was on the other side of the store talking with one of his friends from his former sorority. "What the hell?!"

Tyson and Brienne had been your average couple straight out of college when by pure chance, they both tested positive for the Gender Flu, a rare flu-like illness that caused the infected to completely change into the opposite sex. Like most people, they two of them were taken aback when they first heard their diagnosis, but soon enough, they found out that the Gender Flu was going to help them more than they had initially expected.

You see, there are many variants of the Gender Flu, and with those variants came different outcomes. Some variants simply changed the sex of their hosts without any additional change whatsoever, while others had the ability to completely change the age, race, personality, and even identity of the individual hosting it. In the particular case of Tyson and Brienne, they found themselves infected with a mild version of the Gender Flu. There would be no drastic physical changes beyond sex, but their minds would change so as to them behave more accordingly to their new bodies.

In practice, this meant that in just a few weeks after the diagnosis, Tyron was now going by Tessa and behaving exactly how a young, assertive woman would, while Brienne was now going by Bryan and behaving exactly how a young, confident man would.

But as always, with every set of behavioral changes, there came less than ideal quirks.

"He should be talking to me! Not her!" Tessa continued, trying her best to not make a scene in the middle of the store given how possessive she had now become of her boyfriend Bryan.

Hanging out with the girls was fine and all, but they had to ask for permission. It was she and only she who was allowed to be with her boyfriend alone.

She knew very well that this behavioral quirk potentially made her a toxic girlfriend, but it's not like she could stop it. It was how she behaved now! Simple as that!

At the very least she could say that she had been going to therapy in order get her jealousy under control, now matter how much she tried, her mind always came to the same conclusion and/or excuse:

It was the Gender Flu!

Not her!
