Missing Her Height (100k Views Commemoration Post + A Question)

As she stood in the middle of a lively business gala while wearing a gorgeous, white dress tailored for the occasion and raised her smartphone high with the help of her gimbal stabilizer, Mackenzie could proudly say that she was one of the many people who had successfully made a new life for themselves after The Great Shift.

Of course, just like many of the people were affected by that anomalous event, the road towards embracement was long and arduous.

When the former Marcus ended up finding himself two years ago in the body of one his college classmates, he thought that his life was effectively over. But thanks to help of his therapist, his friends, and the many other victims of The Great Shift that he met, Marcus was able to completely turn his life around for the better.

She changed her name from Marcus to Mackenzie.

She got new job as a financial analyst.

She began a new social media blog where she talked about her experiences as a Shifted woman.

And just a few months ago, she even started to go out on dates again, albeit with nothing too serious coming out of it yet.

In other words, her life as Mackenzie was as if nothing out of the ordinary had ever happened to her.

Almost.

You see, despite all of the new things she had come to terms with, there was one thing she still missed very dearly about her previous life:

Her former height.

Turns out, it wasn't until she became a five-foot-tall woman that she realized just how convenient it was to formerly be six feet tall.

Before The Great Shift, she never had to worry about seemingly simple things such as picking things from the cupboard, getting people to see her, or watching a sports game from the bleachers. But now that she was five-feet tall, she had to think ahead in order to be prepared for such situations.

That's why for example, she ended up buying a gimbal stabilizer for her smartphone.

With it, she could now take photos at any place or event (such the one she currently was in) without having to worry about actually being able to see the person or thing she wanted to photograph even while wearing the highest heels in her wardrobe.

But of course, that then came with the disadvantage that she now had to always bring her gimbal stabilizer with her.

It was the little things like this that would then constantly remind her about what had happened to her two years ago when The Great Shift occurred.

Oh, how much she missed her height.

But hey.

At the very least, she could now say that thanks to the gimbal stabilizer, she was able to take the best pictures she had ever taken in her entire life.

So just a few days ago, this blog finally passed the 100k views (100,816 views as of this moment). When I started this blog almost two years ago (the 2nd year anniversary is fast approaching as well), I never really imagined that so many people would end up seeing it and enjoying the captions I wrote.

Thus, I wanted to thank you all for the support and interest you've had with this blog!

Furthermore, something I've realized is that with the exclusion of the Victims Of The Great Shift series, I really don't have any sort of long caption series in this blog.

Thus, I wanted to ask if any of you had an idea that could work for a long caption series. It could either build on any existing captions I've already written, or it could be something entirely new!

As always, please see the Requests page for basic ground rules.

See you later and enjoy the captions!

    1. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but please just suggest one or two different prompts next time. They are simply too many and not that different from one another, plus I think they'll dissuade other people from commenting.

I'll delete all of them to clean up the comments section, but feel free to suggest one or two prompts by responding to this comment. Thanks!

  3. A story where 50-year-old father wanted his 21-year-old son's harasser to stop bothering him when he confronted him in a dark alley. He saw him with his penis exposed and wanted to call the police for indecent exposure. He was furious, but the harasser explained that it was too late and that now that he had made eye contact with his penis, he would be hypnotized. In fact, his penis was bewitched; anyone who made eye contact with it would have their masculinity or femininity absorbed by it. As the long minutes passed, the father stared at it, becoming more and more feminine, and the harasser more and more masculine, until he became gigantic, hyper-masculine, and muscular. That evening, the son heard the door open and nearly collapsed when he saw his harasser with a 21-year-old woman. She thought she was his girlfriend, but the harasser explained that it was his father. His father apologized, and the harasser grabbed his father and went upstairs where the father, now the 21-year-old woman, had sex with the harasser. After the act, the harasser left, and the father went downstairs feeling strange. He explained to his son that the harasser would be his new stepfather and that, since she (his father) was pregnant, they would form a beautiful and happy family.

  4. A story in which a 50-year-old police commissioner, on his way to arrest a suspect, had his body stolen by the suspect, and his colleagues were unable to catch him. Now, a 21-year-old woman, the same age as his daughters, is involved. He weeps, believing he will never find the body thief.

    1. Hi! So, the first story you suggested is a bit too dark and explicit for my taste, but the second idea you suggested (the one about the police commissioner) is actually quite similar to an idea I had already thought about some time ago, so I will take it account. Thanks!

    2. Can i change the first story for another?

  6. Something I think could work for a long running concept would be some sort of magical transformation resort type thing where people go and get transformed into new bodies, have fun on vacation and choose whether or not to transform back and the end of the vacation. Could do different sorts of groups in each episode, or just several short individual tfs like the Victims of the Great Shift.

  7. First off, congrats!

You could have a body hopper type scenario where each person forced out of their body by the last has to choose someone else’s body to take over, continuing the cycle, or it might be fun do do a chain of captions centering around a bodyswap event at a single location, like at a wedding or a college campus and show multiple perspectives.

Of course, i love any of your captions where there’s a language transfer or a nationality change as well, so it would be fun to do something like that as well.
