I had always been looking forward to going to my first bachelor's party, but this was definitely not how I expected it to be.
You see, all of the people on this ride used to be guys before The Great Shift. Some of them either swapped into the bodies of other guys or simply remained unswapped, but for a few guys like me, we ended up in the bodies of women. Despite this, things have been going pretty smooth at this party. The only thing is that I heard we're going to hire a stripper and well... that's getting me a bit too self-conscious about myself and my new body.
I know, I know, y'all gonna ask why is a petite Asian girl having a break at a resting area in the middle of nowhere.
Well, it's quite simple: I used to be a trucker before The Great Shift and still am.
Every single person I've met since The Great Shift happened doesn't believe that I'm a fully-certified trucker until I show them the enormous rig I drive from one side of the country to the other! Luckily for them, the only thing I ask for in return is a nice, cold Red Bull. Like, how else am I supposed to stay fully awake once I hop back into the highway?!
Thanks to The Great Shift, I ended up in a body bearing a gorgeous pair of eyes, some nice curves here and there and an enviable rack right on my chest. So why do I have a resting b*tch face right now?
Because every time I look at myself in the mirror, the only face I see is the face of my ex-girlfriend Zahra.
That's enough to upset me given how messy our breakup was, but I've also noticed that I've gotten more temperamental as of late. Surely this isn't an indication that I'm going to start behaving like my ex, right?

In retrospect, The Great Shift could have been way worse for me and my family, but that still doesn't mean it made things awkward between all of us.
In our case, I ended up in the body of my mother's best friend Caroline, while my mother, father, and sister ended up in the bodies of Caroline's three daughters.
There has been much adjustment for all of us, but after almost a year, I think we've all come to accept our new roles. That being said, it's still quite strange when one of my daughter's addresses me a mother.
Look at her, enjoying my life and my body as if nothing had ever happened.
A lot of guys were thrilled or intrigued that they ended up in a woman's body after The Great Shift, but not me: I want to be a man again. I want to have my flat chest, my fit body, and my manhood back.
To make things worse, while I'm here at the beach, trying my best to not think about my exorbitant chest or my jiggly backside, I'm forced to see how Catherine - the former owner of this body - is enjoying her life as a strong, handsome man.
It's simply not fair.
On the one hand, you've lived for more than three decades in your body, so finding yourself in another body is quite a big thing to deal with. On the other hand, you still have much of your life left - assuming you ended up in the body of another person in their thirties as well.
In my case, ending up as a 35-year old Cuban woman was definitely not on my list, but I'm still going to try to make the most out of it.
When The Great Shift swapped me with one of my undergrad students, I initially thought that I was going to have a very hard time adapting to my new body.
To my surprise, not only was it way easier than I expected, but I came to realize that I enjoy my new life as a woman way more than my previous life as a man.
I'm still a professor at the university, but when I'm not there, I now prefer to spend my time exploring the nearby city as a young, beautiful woman. It's very fun! - except when you bump into one of your students. That's still very akward.
