A Well-Needed Break From Fatherhood

"I take it back," Connor (center) said as he posed in front of the camera and gestured at it, making sure that his dazzling sari was visible to the cameraman. "Going to Anasha's 35th Birthday Swap Party was by far the best decision I could've made."

"Now that's what I like to hear!" Sanjay (right) concurred as he drew his arm around Connor and posed right beside him. "Just look at you! A few hours ago you were complaining about how you were too busy with your job and your family, and now you are literally tonight's birthday girl!"

"And given that we ended up in the bodies of the birthday girl's best friends, we're in the center of the show as well," Santiago (left) added, a wide smile present on his face as he also drew his arm around Connor. "Wouldn't trade it for anything if you asked me."

It's no surprise that men in their thirties are usually busy with their jobs, their families, or anything beyond or between those things, so it was indeed rather therapeutic for Connor that his coworkers and friends Sanjay and Santiago succeeded in convincing him to attend to Anasha's birthday party.

A birthday party that happened to be a Swap Party as well.

As noted, Connor ended up in the body of the birthday girl Anasha herself, one of the other people who worked in the same place as them, while Sanjay and Santiago ended up in the bodies of Anasha's best friends. In particular, Sanjay ended up in the body of Veronica, a Puerto Rican woman who he had seen a couple of times already who who happened to be a bit of a socialite, while Santiago ended up in the body of Cathleen, an English teacher from Ireland that turned out to teach in the same school his kids studied.

It was true that in a few hours, the Swap Party was going to end and the three of them were going to return back to their former bodies, but for the moment, the three of them were too distracted enjoying their well-needed break from fatherhood.
