Getting Back In The Game
"Well, it took our entire year freshman year and a lot arduous exercise and annoying diets," Kenneth (right) said, striking a pose just as he checked out how his spandex shorts looked on him. "But I think we're finally ready to get back in in the game."
Bryan (left) took a glimpse at himself as well, first looking at his sports bra, and then at his own mesmerizing face.
"To believe we entered college to play football, only to end up in the bodies of two blondes with no athletic experience whatsoever... I still can't believe it."
"Yeah, that Minor Shift stuff really did a number on us when it put us in the bodies of Angela and Monica, but look at the bright side! We were able to push through it anyways!" Kenneth tried to cheer up his best friend. "Just a year ago, nobody would have believed us when we said that we were going to get in shape in order to play professionally again!"
"Yeah, but we can't play football anymore because there is no women's football team here," Bryan let out a deep breath of disappointment. "In which team were you thinking about joining?"
"Well, given that neither of us is 5'6'' or taller, I think that takes out both volleyball and basketball as serious options," Kenneth explained as he picked up his gym bag. "I'd say our best chances are either soccer or hockey. I'm leaning towards hockey if you ask me."
"That was what I was also thinking," Bryan picked up his gym bag as well. "Remember when those guys were joking that we should just join the cheerleading team instead? Gods, that was annoying."
"Yes, and my response to them is the same as always: over my dead body. If I'm going to be in a field, I'm going to playing in it, not jumping and cheering on the side like an idiot!"
The two of them then couldn't help themselves for laughing at just how ridiculous some guys could be with their unnecessary comments.
"So what are you going to do now?" Bryan asked Kenneth, now ready to leave to gym and go on with his day."
"I-I've gotta run. Have some stuff to do later tonight," Kenneth responded just as he sprinted his way out.
"In the case, good luck and see you tomorrow at the gym!"
In the case of Bryan, what he had to do after leaving the gym was catch up on some assignments and prepare his meal for the day just as he had done since the beginning of the academic year. In the case of Kenneth, it was pretty much the same, except that unbeknownst to Bryan, he was going to meet up with Monica in his former body because the two of them had just started dating around a month ago and they were going to grab dinner together later tonight.
The two former jocks had thus come to embrace their new lives as petite-yet-athletic women, yet each in their own respective way.
